This culture likely produced the first leavened bread in human history and was discovered by Ed and Jean Wood during an adventure to Egypt. They were sent by the National Geographic Society to help an archaeologist discover how the first leavened bread was baked in 4500 B.C. It was there they discovered this Giza culture in a bakery dating back to antiquity. National Geographic used their findings to recreate that original bread!
