If you're curious about something we haven't covered here, feel free to reach out to us on our contact page.

🥚 Farm-Fresh Eggs

Q: Are your eggs pasture-raised?
A: While our hens aren’t pasture-raised due to local predators, they live happy, comfortable lives in a secure coop with a spacious run. They enjoy constant access to clean water, high-quality feed, and plenty of garden goodies and kitchen scraps. They're pretty spoiled :)

Q: What do your hens eat?
A: Our girls are fed a balanced layer feed from a local supplier and lots of fresh fruits, veggies, and leafy greens from our kitchen and garden. Their varied diet makes for rich, flavorful eggs.

Q: Do you wash your eggs?
A: Yes, we wash and refrigerate our eggs in accordance with food safety guidelines. If you prefer unwashed eggs, let us know in advance and we may be able to accommodate.

Q: What colors and sizes are your eggs?
A: We raise a mix of heritage breeds, so you’ll find various sizes in everything from soft blue and green to warm brown tones in every carton...a rainbow of natural beauty!

Q: How fresh are your eggs?
A: Our eggs are collected daily and brought to market fresh each week.

🍞 Sourdough Starters

Q: What makes your sourdough starters special?
A: Our starters are sourced from sourdough collectors around the world, each with its own unique history, flavor profile, and microbial culture. It’s like baking with a little piece of global bread history.

Q: Can beginners use your sourdough starter?
A: Absolutely! We include easy-to-follow instructions and offer "tech support" (available by text or email), so whether you're brand new or a seasoned baker, you can get started with confidence. We are here to help!

Q: How do I keep my starter alive?
A: Feed it with equal parts unbleached flour and water. If you bake often, keep it on the counter and feed/discard daily. For more occasional baking, store it in the fridge and feed weekly. We’re happy to help!

Q: Do you sell dried or active starter?
A: Both. We offer limited strains of active starters in small jars and dried starter for longer-term storage at markets. Check with us at the market or message us to inquire about current offerings. We also offer all starters for order online.
